Times of this event are in CAT

Level:  Basic /Intermediate

Room: HERON

Description:

This session is a demonstration and chance to use the latest release of the Micronutrient Action Policy Support (MAPS) tool: an open-access, web-based instrument for exploring and visualising micronutrient deficiencies, and pathways to improve nutrition. The tool is available from www.micronutrient.support. MAPS project researchers will provide presentations on nutritional and health-related data, as well as projections of the food system through 2050, focusing on African countries. Break-out activities will allow participants to use the MAPS tool to understand micronutrient data estimates and projections. The session will also include practical exercises using the MAPS tool to explore different options to address nutritional interventions. By the end of the Learning Lab, participants will be able to independently use the MAPS tool, explain data, trends, and relationships effectively, and be able to use visualisations in their own work.
