10th Annual Agriculture, Nutrition and Health (ANH) Academy Week, #ANH2025

Hybrid (online and in-person, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania), 16 - 26 June 2025

The Agriculture, Nutrition and Health (ANH) Academy is a global community of interdisciplinary researchers, practitioners, and policymakers working on agriculture and food systems for improved nutrition and health, with over 10,000 members in 160+ countries, over 65% of whom are in Africa or Asia.   

The ANH Academy will hold its 10th annual ANH Academy Week from 16-26 June 2024, online and in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, as follows: 

• Learning Labs (online only) – 16-18 June 2025 

• Learning Labs (in person only, Dar es Salaam) – 23 June 2025 

• Research Conference (hybrid, Dar es Salaam and online) – 24-26 June 2025 

Background

The Agriculture, Nutrition and Health Academy Week is a series of annual events that brings together the global community of researchers, practitioners and policymakers working at the intersection of agriculture, food systems, nutrition and health

Between 2016 and 2019, the ANH Academy Week was held in person, rotating between African and Asian countries in order to lower barriers to participation. In 2020 and 2021 the event took place entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while in 2022, Academy Week trialled hybrid sessions for the first time with co-hosts in South Africa. In 2023 this transition continued into a fully hybrid format from Lilongwe, Malawi.

We are delighted to announce that ANH2025 will be co-hosted in collaboration with Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Tanzania, along with a range of other regional partners who will be featured in the coming weeks.

The 10th annual ANH Academy Week will be held in a hybrid format, with online Learning Labs, a day of in-person Learning Labs and a hybrid Research Conference.

Travel bursaries

ANH Academy has a limited number of travel bursaries which will be awarded to selected presenters who would want to join the meeting in Tanzania but who do not have sufficient funds to do so. 

Watch Parties

A watch party provides a communal space where online ANH2025 sessions can be streamed live for ANH community members to participate together-in person at academic institutions around the world. In this increasingly virtual world, watch parties present an opportunity for participants to be together physically in a fun atmosphere with opportunities to interact.
