ANH Academy invites ANH2022 participants to join an in-person Watch Party in Nigeria on the final day of the Research Conference; Thursday 30 June.

Format, programme and what’s included

Bells ANH2022 Watch Party holds on the 30th of June. Participation is free but registration ends Friday, 24th June.

The watch party creates an opportunity for in-person gathering of professionals in Agriculture, Food, Nutrition, Health including Food biotechnology and Food biochemistry to participate in the live event of ANH Academy 2022 conference day three..

Schedule

The event will start at 10 am with a get-to-know each other period (10 minutes) and focus group discussions (30 minutes) on some of the conference themes. Refreshments based on local foods will be served. There will be a display of some Nigerian underutilized foods.

The programme is expected to end 5.30 pm. Preferential rates for in-campus guest rooms will be arranged on request for participants who cannot go back same day. Free dinner will be provided for such persons.

What’s the benefit of joining?

Moving the Academy Week temporarily fully online during the COVID-19 pandemic brought many benefits, however, as noted in participants’ feedback, it also came at the cost of in person interactions. For 2022 ANH Academy is encouraging and supporting groups around the world to host Watch Parties to regain some of these less tangible benefits.

We hope that for Nigeria-based participants, this Watch Party will provide an opportunity to meet other researchers and practitioners, to share the experience of the Academy Week and meet faces, old and new.
