Recent events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and BREXIT in the UK has highlighted the fragility and siloed nature of our food system, for example causing panic buying and culling of animals due to distribution and logistic struggles. IFSTAL launches for a seventh year. This launch event will focus on the need to more prominently include the activities between producer and consumer (the ‘missing middle’) in food systems discussions. Four eminent speakers will share their views on how to understand and engage with this vital part of the system.

Our launch event will be a fun and friendly session with plenty of time to ask questions both about the topic covered and the IFSTAL programme!

You will also learn how the IFSTAL programme helps students* from different disciplines and backgrounds gains skills and connections that can support food system transformation.
