Announcing our call for Regional Trainers in Asia!
Accompanying our new suite of interdisciplinary teaching materials, ANH Academy launched the Curriculum Enrichment Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme earlier this year. 23 educators from around Africa came together for an in-person training workshop, and a week of rich learning and conversations. Following the success of our first ToT Regional Training workshop, we are now launching a second one for educators from across Asia.
Background:
The ToT Programme aims to establish a cohort of trainers/champions to deliver regional training in the use and context-specific adaptation of interdisciplinary teaching methods and materials. The core aim of this activity is to foster capacity sharing and peer to peer training around participatory teaching skills, and to support university-level educators in incorporating interdisciplinary approaches to ANH-related topics in and around their curriculums.
Additional information about the background of this initiative can be found here.
Regional Training Workshop, Asia:
We are delighted to invite educators based in Asian universities to apply to participate in a 5-day comprehensive in-person training workshop for up to 20 selected members, taking place in Sri Lanka, from 25-29 November, 2024.
The training workshop will introduce participants to interdisciplinary teaching and learning methods, as well as a suite of materials covering topics of cross-cutting relevance to agriculture, food systems, nutrition and health. By the end of the workshop, participants will become certified trainers - equipped with new skills, knowledge and experiences to adapt these methods and materials for teaching and learning among students in their own settings, and to provide training to colleagues in their institutions and regions.
The application process is competitive. Selection will be based on applicants’ suitability and motivation, as well as institutional support and our commitment to equity and diversity. Applications close 24 May, 2024.
