New website beta launch graphic

We are excited to announce the launch of the beta version of our new website for the ANH Academy, IMMANA and SCANR (the brand new Synthesis Centre for Agriculture and Nutrition Research). Major upgrades to the design, functionality and membership options on the site will help us to stay more connected than ever and allow members of our community to showcase their work.

With these ambitious changes, we also want to emphasise that this is the beta version of our new site, as it still has areas of improvement that we are working on, and we thank you for being patient with us as these get ironed out!

What improvements will I see right now?

  • Enhanced member profiles with the ability to post content like blogs, events, forum threads, documents and more.
  • Improved search and filter tools to enhance your ability to browse content.
  • A fresh new design to the site, linking up content across the ANH Academy community, IMMANA research and SCANR resources.

What should I explore first?

  • Log in here with the same username and password you used on our old site. If you are having trouble logging in/forget your username and password, please email us at [email protected] and we will help you log in by providing you with a temporary password. Please don't create a new account if you already had an account on our old site. Once you log in, your member profile may not look the same as it did as on the old site, and content you had included may not have transferred completely. If this is the case and you are having trouble updating your profile, please email us and our team will help.
  • Update your account and profile settings by navigating to your profile in the top right corner of the site and then clicking "Account Settings". Add a profile photo and edit your bio and other details. In your profile area, you will see that you can upload documents, create new forum threads, events, blogs, funding opportunities and projects.
  • Navigate through the menu to see how this new site is organised. As always, we have events coming up you can register for, news and blogs from across the ANH Academy community, a forum where you can start a conversation with community members, information about IMMANA Grants and Fellowships and ANH Academy Working Groups, and more resources across the site. New areas of note include:
    • Projects (please add your current projects to this page if you go to your profile and go to the "Projects" tab)
    • Funding Opportunities (please share open funding opportunities via this page if you go to your profile and go to the "Funding opportunities" tab)
    • IMMANA Research Outputs
    • SCANR (the Synthesis Centre for Agriculture and Nutrition Research) connects researchers with data and resources to carry out analyses of secondary data related to agriculture, food systems, nutrition, and health. On the Research Guidance pages, you will find resources for each step in the research process, from finding the right dataset and research question to cleaning and analysing data to sharing your results. In the Use Cases section, you will find examples of how SCANR can be used to answer questions and improve your research. If you have any questions or comments or want to connect with other SCANR users, post a new thread or comment on the SCANR Forum.

What if I come across something that doesn't look right?

  • That is to be expected! This is a beta site and there are areas that need some work. Please send us your feedback via email and our team will look into it.

In the coming weeks and months, we will also launch new areas of the site, including:

  • New networking options to connect and message with ANH Academy community members.
  • Updated area for you to showcase your publications.

Our Twitter handle has also changed to @anh_academy to link up with the overall branding of the new site, and we have retired the @IMMANA_res account.

We thank you for all your support and hope you enjoy exploring the new website!
