Bio

I focus on how the social world becomes embodied and expressed as health, illness, or suffering. I rely on ecological and social determinants frameworks to make sense of complex health problems. I then apply these models as I work with teams to develop and test strategies to reduce health disparities and strengthen health systems. Equally important, I try hard to mentor and foster productive careers of students and colleagues.
