Webinar: Ag2Nut 10-Year Virtual Celebration

10 years ago, when the Ag2Nut Community was founded: nutrition was emerging as a policy priority, and there was a need to find common ground on how to approach “nutrition-sensitive agriculture,” a term that had just been coined. Ag2Nut started as just a few people sitting around a table, with the goal to discuss and share a common understanding of the linkages between agriculture and nutrition, and speak louder together on the priorities for action.

Today, we are now over 7,650 people in over 130 countries – at a round table as big as the planet. Food systems and nutrition are a recognized priority: we are mid-way through the UN Decade of Action on Nutrition, and the UN Secretary General is convening the first Food Systems Summit to be held in 2021.

Join us to reflect on how the agriculture-nutrition conversation has evolved over the last decade, and how Ag2Nut has contributed to this evolution. We have witnessed the power of connection in working together from many different places and perspectives. We invite you to share your thoughts on how we can support the growing momentum on food systems, and step up our contribution to improved nutrition worldwide in the next 10 years!

There will be brief remarks from many members, including:

  • David Nabarro (Senior Advisor to the Food Systems Summit Dialogues and Special Envoy of the WHO Director-General on COVID-19) - view David's video remarks here
  • Stineke Oenema (UN SCN)
  • Charlotte Dufour (Food Systems Summit Dialogues Support Team, formerly FAO)
  • Fikadu Reta (Ag2Nut-Ethiopia)
  • Usman Ibrahim (Ag2Nut-Nigeria)
  • Joe Yates / Suneetha Kadiyala (ANH Academy)
  • Heather Danton (USAID Advancing Nutrition) - view Heather's video remarks here

...and others!

Please join in this celebration of our history and future!
