Open Full Event utrition-Sensitive Agriculture Design Guide Training of Trainers in Nairobi, Kenya (open to all)

USAID, through USAID Advancing Nutrition, is hosting a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) to support teams preparing to facilitate the Designing Effective Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Activities Workshop using the accompanying facilitator's guide, also known as the Design Guide. The Design Guide includes slides and handouts for a three-day program that guides teams to design, implement, monitor, and manage agriculture-led economic growth activities for improved nutrition outcomes. For the peer-led workshop to be successful, skilled facilitators help teams think through the design of nutrition-sensitive agriculture activities. Facilitators should have an understanding of nutrition-sensitive agriculture, program design, and skills in workshop facilitation.

The ToT will provide an orientation to the Design Guide materials, an overview of best practices in peer-led facilitation, and the opportunity to practice facilitating critical sessions in the workshop. The next training will be held in-person in Nairobi, Kenya from February 1 to February 3, 2023. There are no fees to attend, but participants will be expected to cover their own lodging and travel costs.

This training is designed for implementers who will be directly facilitating the NSA Design Guide workshop in the next year. If two delegates from an organization would like to attend, only one application is required. Applicants can access and complete the application online. The cut-off date to submit an application is November 18, 2022 5:00PM EST.

Not able to make it to the next ToT in Kenya? There are other ways to learn about the Design Guide! This training is just one way that USAID Advancing Nutrition is supporting the uptake and use of the Design Guide materials. For information on other ways to engage, read about and join our Design Guide Community of Practice.
