Dr Patil is Prof & Head of the Dept of Community Medicine at BLDE(Deemed to be University) .She has the work experience working in UNICEF as Consultant for Routine Immunization and MCH activities ,She completed her "Non communicable disease prevention "fellowship at Emory University USA & is recipient of NIH grant . She is mentor for International students (MPH students & PhD scholars) .She is a recipient of "Kalpana Chawla Young Women Scientist State Award"from Govt of Karnataka.She is a CO-PI on the DFC funded project(2018-2020) "Drivers of food choice among Indian households in a remote District of South India ". Her research interests are Adolescent nutrition , Prevention of NCD's in young , Nutrition transition in LMICs
