The goal of this learning lab is to help improve the quality of participants’ written research communication and increase the odds of journal article acceptance. Building on his many years of experience as a journal editor, author and reviewer/referee, Prof. Shively will discuss the journal review process and provide an overview and tips for improving your research paper. This two-hour session will include 60 total minutes of presentation divided into 15-minute blocks, interspersed with four interactive exercises and opportunities for questions and discussion. Participants should have some experience writing research papers and will benefit most from the workshop if they have a research paper in progress for reference during the workshop.
